Martin - I did a fresh install of the daily build this morning and within a few minutes `mate-hud` crashed with the exact same error (`BadWindow` in the EWMH code when getting the `_GTK_UNIQUE_BUS_NAME` property of the current window). I'm investigating...
For the record, I changed through several panel layouts and ended in Mutiny. I installed `vim-gnome` and tried to open the HUD from it. That's when it crashed.
