Ubuntu 16.04.2

Older similar bug with Debian: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-
bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=773108

My stopmotion behaves as with Xavier, but when I plug in a usb webcam it starts
up.
A feature instead of bug?

stopmotion gives following warning: "Something wrong with the locale!"; me
having:
$ locale
LANG=fi_FI.UTF-8
LANGUAGE=fi:en
LC_CTYPE="fi_FI.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC=fi_FI.UTF-8
LC_TIME=fi_FI.UTF-8
LC_COLLATE="fi_FI.UTF-8"
LC_MONETARY=fi_FI.UTF-8
LC_MESSAGES="fi_FI.UTF-8"
LC_PAPER=fi_FI.UTF-8
LC_NAME=fi_FI.UTF-8
LC_ADDRESS=fi_FI.UTF-8
LC_TELEPHONE=fi_FI.UTF-8
LC_MEASUREMENT=fi_FI.UTF-8
LC_IDENTIFICATION=fi_FI.UTF-8

It crashed later on unexpectedly (as with debian bug). Still unable to
determine why.

Seems to have problems on exporting videos although mencoder is
installed (but probably not related to startup problem).

At some point may give a warning:
Cannot open device /dev/dsp: File or directory does not exist!
