Public bug reported: [Impact] GNOME Software shows the 'core' snap as an application. It should be correctly marked as a runtime so GNOME Software will display it more appropriately.
[Test Case] 1. Ensure at least one snap is installed so the core snap has been installed. 2. Open GNOME Software. 3. Browse to installed apps. Expected result: 'core' is shown as an add-on. Observed result: 'core' is shown in the app list. [Regression Potential] Fix is to tag the app object as a 'runtime' in GNOME Software based on the snap 'type' field. This could expose new bugs in the runtime code. ** Affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu) Importance: Low Assignee: Robert Ancell (robert-ancell) Status: Fix Committed ** Affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu Xenial) Importance: Low Assignee: Robert Ancell (robert-ancell) Status: Fix Committed ** Affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu Yakkety) Importance: Low Status: Won't Fix ** Affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu Zesty) Importance: Low Assignee: Robert Ancell (robert-ancell) Status: Fix Committed ** Affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu Artful) Importance: Low Assignee: Robert Ancell (robert-ancell) Status: Fix Committed ** Also affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu Artful) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu Xenial) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu Zesty) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu Yakkety) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu Yakkety) Status: New => Won't Fix ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu Yakkety) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu Zesty) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu Artful) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu Xenial) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu Xenial) Status: New => Fix Committed ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu Zesty) Status: New => Fix Committed ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu Artful) Status: New => Fix Committed ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu Artful) Assignee: (unassigned) => Robert Ancell (robert-ancell) ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu Zesty) Assignee: (unassigned) => Robert Ancell (robert-ancell) ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu Xenial) Assignee: (unassigned) => Robert Ancell (robert-ancell) ** Description changed: [Impact] GNOME Software shows the 'core' snap as an application.
