Same problem here. It even happened once in the live CD environment while only using firefox and trying to copy some files. I am using Ubuntu Gutsy (release), nvidia binary drivers (restricted drivers), although in the live cd environment these where obviously not loaded, and it also happened there.
I think this bug should be confirmed and taken seriously.
