I did a clean install of 17.04, installed Wine staging 2.10, and I
experienced this bug. I formatted that partition, did a clean install of
16.04, installed Wine staging 2.10, and no bug.
It seems that this is not an issue with Wine, but a regression in Ubuntu
17.04
