The Ubuntu Desktop team is not interested in being responsible for
maintaining glom or libepc since they are in universe and aren't of
particular interest to the Desktop team. But as long as these are
maintained by MOTUs, I don't see that there is a particular problem
here.
I have uploaded glom with the maintainer reset to Ubuntu Developers.
