Public bug reported:

After the lengthy account creation, I don't remember much. I was trying
to install console-data, it didn't work, I couldn't remove it cleanly.
This went back and forth a few times. Finally it threw a serious error
and asked to report to the mothership.

This is within a vmware fusion VM from Mac OS X.
