Public bug reported: I'm using Ubuntu 17.04 and the preferences of ibus-libpinyin cannot be opened. There will be error if you run `/usr/lib/ibus/ibus-setup- libpinyin`.
The setup scripts in `/usr/share/ibus-libpinyin/setup` are executed with python2, where the python-gi package is expected but it is not listed as the dependency of the ibus-libpinyin package. However, according to https://github.com/libpinyin/ibus- libpinyin/pull/32, they are now compatible with python3. So we can simply modify the executable script `/usr/lib/ibus/ibus-setup-libpinyin` to use python3. I uploaded the modified script as an attachment. ** Affects: ibus-libpinyin (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "ibus-setup-libpinyin" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1698629/+attachment/4898017/+files/ibus-setup-libpinyin -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1698629 Title: ibus libpinyin preferences cannot open To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ibus-libpinyin/+bug/1698629/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
