I confirm this problem. And it is a real problem - XMMS is the only player that can sensibly handle my music collection. Audacious crashes if you try to add tens of thousands of tracks and the database apps (Rhythmbox, Banshee, Amarok etc.) just never finish "updating" when you point them at 30.000+ tracks.
