As I mentioned earlier, this is a big usability problem because it often prevents a file from opening at startup, and switching to the low-latency kernel is a pretty extreme solution (especially since it kills battery life on a notebook). Fortunately, there's a much easier work-around. Go to Settings -> Configure Rosegarden... -> Sequencer -> Synchronisation and change the timer setting from "(auto)" to "system timer", and the warning will disappear. You can also try "rtc timer" if you have the snd-rtctimer module loaded and need 1ms resolution instead of 4ms resolution (I don't). Here's the official FAQ on the bug: http://www.rosegardenmusic.com/resources/faq/#toc31 -- error when opening Rosegarden program: "System timer resolution is too low" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/67568 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
