Except if Tormod believe that I'm not right: I think that as long that the computer finally have a 800x600 resolution when booting on the LiveCD, it MUST be considered as a part of that bug because we must list which drivers/graphic cards have this problem. In your case, it just happens in VirtualBox which is interesting for testing purposes but seems to be affected by a similar ( but different and perhaps a bit more complicate ) bug. If you want to continue working on the bug with VirtualBox, I suggest that you create another bug and create a link in the description of that bug to the bug #154142.
And if you can reproduce the bug on any computer when booting on the LiveCD, I think that specifying the graphic card (lspci) and the attaching "/etc/X11/xorg.conf" file ( or just the name of the driver used ) would be very appropriate. Thanks a lot for the informations you provided this far. -- 800x600 resolution with ATI card on live boot makes install difficult https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/154142 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
