Dear ChristianEhrhardt! Thank you for your comment and test. I mean that simple old ("sudo kvm -hda /dev/sdc -m 1024") method of booting USB-flash produces file-system damage.
Mentioning grub2-theme-preview was an illustration, I have never used it. I visited their page from search engine while searching warning message. I report this bug to highlight the changes in QEMU-KVM regarding raw-format detection. Without format=raw user can get filesystem corruption on virtual drive. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1685031 Title: qemu-kvm corrupts filesystems on usb-flash drive if raw format is not specified To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qemu/+bug/1685031/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
