I too have make.logs from 2 different kernel versions. I changed the file names to make it more clear. I don't see any errors.
The original error, which triggered the bug report, popped up at the very final stages of upgrading ubuntu versions from 16.10 to 17.04 using ubuntu's graphical "Software Updater" I did a reboot after the update was complete. My zpool and mounted zfs all transfered seemlessly between OS versions. So no problem there. And I do not see any run away processes. (I didn't know there was a single file upload limit. To avoid double posting I will just post 1 log file here. The other make.log is with kernel: 4.10.0-19-generic I am happy to upload it if it makes a difference. The output seems almost identical between the two, the order of some operations is different) ** Attachment added: "0.6.5.9_-_4.8.0-46-generic.make.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/zfs-linux/+bug/1683340/+attachment/4865523/+files/0.6.5.9_-_4.8.0-46-generic.make.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1683340 Title: zfs-dkms 0.6.5.9-5ubuntu4: zfs kernel module failed to build To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/zfs-linux/+bug/1683340/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
