I am running 4.4.0-62-generic because that was the last kernel which gave me WiFi access.
I ran apport-collect under that kernel in response to the missing logs request. I apologise if the result does not help. When the system crashes, it no longer responds to the power button on the CPU: I have to turn it off at the mains.
