I tried your command, following it another try to install : E: Failed to fetch http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/c/ chromium-browser/chromium-browser_56.0.2924.76-0ubuntu0.16.04.1268_amd64.deb Hash Sum mismatch
E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with --fix-missing? There is no hardware problem, as I tested with 3 computers, & 2 different connections. Other packages install flawlessly. P.S. : I want to delete some useless comments of my own, I can't find how !? -- Îssâ Christophe GOIRAND +225 05 38 87 43 | igoirand.me.ht | isagoir...@gmail.com On 27 March 2017 at 19:09, Chad Miller <chad.mil...@canonical.com> wrote: > Either local disk problem or mirror problem. > > Do this in a terminal, then if next update doesn't work, then let's file > a bug against whatever mirror you're using. > > $ sudo find /var/cache/ -type f -name chromium\*.deb -exec mv {} {}-nope > \; > > If that does work then either your disk is bad, the controller or cable > is bad, RAM is bad, or you didn't clean the cache correctly earlier > before retrying. > > Let me know. > > ** Changed in: chromium-browser (Ubuntu) > Status: New => Incomplete > > -- > You received this bug notification because you are subscribed to the bug > report. > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1676368 > > Title: > Corrupted package, impossible to install > > Status in chromium-browser package in Ubuntu: > Incomplete > > Bug description: > "Hash Sum mismatch" > A lot of attempts, by a good ADSL connection & also a 4g connection. > > ProblemType: Bug > DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04 > Package: chromium-browser (not installed) > ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.8.0-41.44~16.04.1-generic 4.8.17 > Uname: Linux 4.8.0-41-generic x86_64 > ApportVersion: 2.20.1-0ubuntu2.5 > Architecture: amd64 > CurrentDesktop: XFCE > Date: Mon Mar 27 10:34:54 2017 > InstallationDate: Installed on 2017-03-10 (16 days ago) > InstallationMedia: Xubuntu 16.04.2 LTS "Xenial Xerus" - Release amd64 > (20170215) > SourcePackage: chromium-browser > UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) > > To manage notifications about this bug go to: > https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser/+ > bug/1676368/+subscriptions > -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1676368 Title: Corrupted package, impossible to install To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser/+bug/1676368/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
