Public bug reported: may be a duplicate of #1671909
Fresh install of kubuntu, the notification area pops up an icon saying "Updates Available", when I click it, it says 4 updates available, I select update, Plasma-Discover opens, loads for a few moments, then says "The software on this computer is up to date." If I leave it on this screen for about a minute, suddenly the 4 updates appear. The updates that finally appear all show as having a size of 0 bytes, with a total for the 4 selected updates also 0 B. When I press update, a bar at the top shows up saying Updating, which jumps to about 20% progress, then down to 10% progress, then slowly works it way up to 30% progress, then jumps back to 0%, then the individual progress bars for each update complete, then restart from 0%, then complete again, then start from 0% again, then get to about 20% and the whole thing hangs for a minute, then the screen jumps back to "The software on this computer is up to date." and the icon in the notification area disappears (the updates were installed) As an updater, I guess it's working, but the user interface/experience has a large number of glaring issues. ** Affects: plasma-discover (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: - may be a duplicate of #1671909 + may be a duplicate of 1671909 Fresh install of kubuntu, the notification area pops up an icon saying "Updates Available", when I click it, it says 4 updates available, I select update, Plasma-Discover opens, loads for a few moments, then says "The software on this computer is up to date."
