To make this clearer. 1. If I have to profiles names A and B. 2. If profile A is running, and I run the command "firefox -P B", a new firefox window(not tab) will open under the current running profile, i.e. B.
Unlike marcw mentioned, -no-remote can help if profile B is not running. However, if profile B is still running, and I run "firefox -P B -no- remote", a new window of firefox will not start and would instead complain that an existing instance of B is already running. This is a problem for me sometime because I would expect clicking on the icon to open another window all the time of the specified profile. ** Tags added: firefox gutsy -- new firefox profile doesn't display if default profile is open https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/152666 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
