More recently I had (somewhere) suggested the Mir server interfaces for testing the alpha channel are inadequate. Mir should be able to support the case where an alpha channel exists but is unwanted (similar to glDisable(GL_BLEND)). See also bug 1667577. That said, bug 1480755 is only a reduction in performance. If Pete is saying that Unity8 doesn't work at all then this would be a duplicate of bug 1560498 (which is actually not what was copied and pasted into the description above from bug 1480755). ** Summary changed: - Unity8/mir working on VMware due to bypass not working + Unity8/Mir not working on VMware due to bypass not working ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 1560498 Unity8 using vmwgfx_dri.so crashed in mir::graphics::nested::detail::DisplayBuffer::make_current() -> eglMakeCurrent() -> ... -> dri2_image_get_buffers() [platform_mir.c:138] -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1670717 Title: Unity8/Mir not working on VMware due to bypass not working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mesa/+bug/1670717/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
