I have installed Ubuntu 16.04.2on a laptop HP EliteBook 2540p and the fan doesn't work. It begins to be very hot ! I have installed successfully sensors. I have try to configure the fan with pwmconfig and I have got the foolowing message : pwmconfig: There are no pwm-capable sensor modules installed. I have add the following in the grub config : acpi_enforce_resources=lax.
