Hello. I tried the below, but when i tried teh second line, i got teh message "permission denied" and unfortunately, teh sound still does not work.
My symptoms don't match either of the other two bugs as have no sounds whatsoever. Not even in the headphone socket (as some people are reporting). May machine is a Compaq Preario V6560 model. If there is anything else I can tell you, please let me know. thanks, Kam Basilio Kublik wrote: > Could you try the following commands and see if you get sound > afterwards. > > [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo rmmod -f snd-hda-intel > [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo echo "options snd-hda-intel model=auto" >> > /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base > [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo modprobe snd-hda-intel > > I'm trying to determine if it's the same as bug #93859 or bug #131133. > it would be great if you can check the symptoms at the other reports and > confirm if this is true, so we can link this bug report to one of those. > > Thanks in advance. > > -- No sound in Ubuntu 7.10 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/152873 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
