same here, i cant change or install any new cursors, and im getting the same terminal output, i have found that by dragging the cursor file into the appearance window (where you change/add new themes) works, but you then have to apply the new theme (new cursors) and then go back to your previous theme, after that the cursors show up under customize and you can change them that way. but gcursor does nothing. cheers
