I'm also affected by this bug, lots of shared printers (this is the cups server for the network) and cupsd shutting down claiming printer sharing was off.
launchpad-groovix: in 14.04, the only allowed values for BrowseLocalProtocol are All and dnssd, in 16.04 I see All, dnssd, and none. Is CUPS some deprecated setting?
