Hi, this was actually a bug in initramfs / gdm, see in dpkg logs : /etc/initramfs-tools/update-initramfs.conf: 1: gdm-simple-slave[1118]:: not found
desktop-based triggered the error because it calls update-initramfs during configuration. I’m closing it now since it was raised against a much older Ubuntu version. Feel free to open another bug if it still happens on current releases upgrade. ** Changed in: desktop-base (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/793455 Title: package desktop-base 6.0.5 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 127 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/desktop-base/+bug/793455/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
