I found the problem after a painful week of trying different way. This is as far as I understand, the sound card (analogical) is no longer recognised if in the settings any one of the HDMI option is selected Digital and Surround. After deleting all de pulse config file the icon is active again and I can adjust the volume again!! I guess this bug can be easily worked out
but..
