Public bug reported:

It is likely a problem with the Partition Type (MSDOS) rather than GPT (for use
with EUFI). I am retrying the Install of Ubuntu Studio 16.10, from a LiveUSB
drive, and using a hardwired Internet connection, after having wiped the
Macbook's Hard Drive and created a new mapping w/ GPT.

Ultimately I shall try to create a dual boot situation with MacOS and
Ubuntu Studio.
