Thanks for the suggestion. But this may actually be on purpose. I/O Wait means that the processor is not doing anything, because it is waiting for some I/O to finish. The CPU *could* be doing work, but it isn't. So, from the processor's viewpoint (which is what the applet is showing), it is idle.
