Hi, thank you for reporting this - just like in the linked bug I can't reproduce just as-is. I think it was a wise decision to start as a new bug and check if it is first. So I wonder what of the former insights apply to your case.
So first of all lets make sure that your system not has netlink in the apparmor profile: grep netlink /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.libvirtd And I wonder if the "workaround" to reload the profiles in comment #34 would fix it up in your case as well?: apparmor_parser --purge-cache apparmor_parser -R /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.libvirtd apparmor_parser -r /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.libvirtd systemctl restart libvirt-bin -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1646328 Title: libvirtd fails to start with apparmor denial error for netlink socket creation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libvirt/+bug/1646328/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
