Public bug reported: Please follow Debian's lead and have print-manager recommend system- config-printer-common instead of system-config-printer. Otherwise, Kubuntu 17.04 will include a few extra GTK/GNOME dependencies. (16.10 is not affected since the system-config-printer binary package doesn't exist there.)
I believe system-config-printer's gui app is hidden by default in KDE anyway. https://anonscm.debian.org/git/pkg-kde/applications/print- manager.git/commit/?id=50d98ebc ** Affects: print-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to print-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1646548 Title: Please recommend system-config-printer-common instead of system- config-printer To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/print-manager/+bug/1646548/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
