Sorry for the confusion! We will drop the hard xdelta dependency from snapd again. This is an new feature behind a feature flag. We don't need it just yet as a hard requirement. And I think we will want to check if xdelta is the right choice anyway or if we instead move to xdelta3 (see https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=205112)
