Thanks for your bug report.

As you've shown, the faac command indeed supports tagging tracks with
title, artist, etc. However, this is not implemented in abcde, very
likely due to the fact that there is no way to tag a track after it has
been encoded. As you may e aware, one can configure abcde to process CDs
in different ways, such as reading from CDDB, creating a cuesheet,
encoding, tagging, etc. M4a/AAC tagging is likely not implemented
because there is no way of tagging the file during the tag process.

To implement this would require a special case to be added for m4a/aac
files, to tag while encoding. In the time left before gutsy is released,
it is not possible to add this functionality, but since I agree that
tagging should be supported, I'll see about implementing this for hardy,
and getting it backported to gutsy backports.
