Public bug reported: pdfsandwich in Ubuntu is suffering from the following bug that has already been reported and fixed in Debian:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=802233 TLDR; There are spaces between almost every scanned character in the output pdf and so searching for any text is impossible.
