It does indeed. It was probably enabled by default after bug 102807. I would suggest that, unless the bug can be fixed quickly, it is more important that openoffice works properly (as its the default office pack in (K)ubuntu) than it is that WINE etc. can fullscreen properly, so for the time being the option should be disabled by default.
