Solution: * to have Ctrl+1 working, the x-input method has to be better than xim; commonly one has to e.g. install ibus-gtk and ibus-gtk3, and remove .xinputrc (if present, since it may contain old "run_im" setting). if it would not still work (due to some old defaults settings), im-config may be tried to choose some newer input method.
* to have Alt+menukeys working, the current GitHub wxMaxima githead has to be taken (2016/10/25), and probably some ppa repositories will have it soon too. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1540079 Title: Alt keys not active unless cursor is in top menus To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wxmaxima/+bug/1540079/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
