I searched a duplicate with the Launchpad search tool before submitting the bug, and after your first reply, without success.
This is my first bug report (I'm new to Ubuntu, I switched a few weeks ago from another distrib). I was interested to follow it up, because I prefer to keep gedit as my main editor for simple text files. Your statement about the duplicates seemed to be based on an immediate knowledge, or maybe, on an "educated" Launchpad search. This is what I was looking for. I wouldn't mind about assessing this bug as minor. However, I have reservation discarding it as a duplicate on a "hearsay" basis, given the unsuccessful attempts to find an alleged original.
