I have exact same problem My monitor is not able to receive a correct khz from computer. Booting into safe graphics works though.
Error monitor gives is Analog out of range 83.2Khz / 78Hz I have LG 20.1 inch LG 204WT The previous Feisty release worked fine. I use i386 desktop live cd. And I only run it off of live cd. No installation.
