Public bug reported: With Gutsy, sound does not work on my Sony Vaio VGN-TZ190N laptop, unless I add to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base the option:
options snd-hda-intel model=auto I first read this in http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=514292 Adding this option is annoying, as it means that sound doesn't work on the laptop with a standard gutsy install, and that when there are changes to alsa-base, I need to manually update the file. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- need to add "options snd-hda-intel model=auto" to alsa-base on Sony Vaio VGN-TZ190N https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/151706 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
