** Description changed: This is a new version of snapd. The changelog for 2.15.2 is available here https://github.com/snapcore/snapd/blob/2.15.2/debian/changelog, the raw git changelog is available here: https://github.com/snapcore/snapd/commits/2.15.1 (note that the debian changelog is auto-generated from the merges of the git commits so there is usually no need to look at the raw git commits). The snappy team released a new 2.15.2 micro release that we want SRU into xenial. The new process described in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SnapdUpdates was used and we have done integration-tests on the snappy images, autopkgtests on classic and unit tests. The following automatic tests are run: - travis unit tests https://travis-ci.org/snapcore/snapd/branches (check for 2.15.2 here) - travis/spread based integration/system tests: https://travis-ci.org/snapcore/snapd/branches (check for 2.15.2 here under "spread") The following additional tests were performed: """ $ adt-run -s -U snapd_2.15.2.dsc --- qemu ~/VM/adt-xenial-amd64-cloud.img [lots of output, wait 45min] - 2016/09/16 10:33:39 Restoring autopkgtest:ubuntu-16.04-64:tests/upgrade/... - 2016/09/16 10:33:42 Discarding autopkgtest:ubuntu-16.04-64... - 2016/09/16 10:33:43 autopkgtest:ubuntu-16.04-64 allocation results: map[string]string{} - 2016/09/16 10:33:43 Successful tasks: 87 - 2016/09/16 10:33:43 Aborted tasks: 0 - adt-run [10:33:43]: test integrationtests: -----------------------] - adt-run [10:33:44]: test integrationtests: - - - - - - - - - - results - - - - - - - - - - + 2016/09/19 11:11:26 Restoring autopkgtest:ubuntu-16.04-64:tests/upgrade/... + 2016/09/19 11:11:29 Discarding autopkgtest:ubuntu-16.04-64... + 2016/09/19 11:11:29 autopkgtest:ubuntu-16.04-64 allocation results: map[string]string{} + 2016/09/19 11:11:29 Successful tasks: 83 + 2016/09/19 11:11:29 Aborted tasks: 0 + adt-run [11:11:30]: test integrationtests: -----------------------] + adt-run [11:11:31]: test integrationtests: - - - - - - - - - - results - - - - - - - - - - integrationtests PASS - adt-run [10:33:45]: @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ summary + adt-run [11:11:32]: @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ summary integrationtests PASS - qemu-system-x86_64: terminating on signal 15 from pid 15182 + $ adt-run -s -U snapd_2.15.2.dsc --- qemu ~/VM/adt-yakkety-amd64-cloud.img [lots of output, wait 45min] - 2016/09/16 10:39:41 Restoring autopkgtest:ubuntu-16.04-64:tests/upgrade/... - 2016/09/16 10:39:44 Discarding autopkgtest:ubuntu-16.04-64... - 2016/09/16 10:39:44 autopkgtest:ubuntu-16.04-64 allocation results: map[string]string{} - 2016/09/16 10:39:44 Successful tasks: 87 - 2016/09/16 10:39:44 Aborted tasks: 0 - adt-run [10:39:45]: test integrationtests: -----------------------] - adt-run [10:39:46]: test integrationtests: - - - - - - - - - - results - - - - - - - - - - + 2016/09/19 11:35:37 Restoring autopkgtest:ubuntu-16.04-64:tests/upgrade/... + 2016/09/19 11:35:40 Discarding autopkgtest:ubuntu-16.04-64... + 2016/09/19 11:35:40 autopkgtest:ubuntu-16.04-64 allocation results: map[string]string{} + 2016/09/19 11:35:40 Successful tasks: 83 + 2016/09/19 11:35:40 Aborted tasks: 0 + adt-run [11:35:41]: test integrationtests: -----------------------] + adt-run [11:35:42]: test integrationtests: - - - - - - - - - - results - - - - - - - - - - integrationtests PASS - adt-run [10:39:46]: @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ summary + adt-run [11:35:42]: @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ summary integrationtests PASS + """ Almost all of our spread integration tests are now run as part of the autopkgtest run. After installing the new snapd it was ensured that apt is unaffected by doing: """ - sudo apt install -y hello && sudo apt remove -y hello """ After installing the new snapd gnome-software was used: """ - install "http" (snap) and remove it again """ All worked as expected.
