*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1579708 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1579708
I understand that this bug exists, since I made some changes to my local file structure. In my case I deleted the file /etc/mysql/my.cnf.fallback while doing some troubleshooting/maintenance. I just copied the /etc/mysql/debian.cnf file and the script ran fine. sudo /etc/mysql/debian.cnf /etc/mysql/my.cnf.fallback I assume the fallback is used if there is every a need. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1588212 Title: package mysql-common 5.7.12-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-5.7/+bug/1588212/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
