Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
I just purchased an ECS-RS482-M754 motherboard with an ATI Radeon XPRESS 200, which I have installed Gutsy on. I had to go through the installation using "Safe Graphics Mode" because Compiz-Fusion was causing X to crash (using the "ati" driver). The "ati" driver has been causing lots of problems (especially when 3d applications lunch). When an application that uses 3d would launch, X would just crash. This poses a great problem. If compiz-fusion is started X will just crash and return to the login screen. Login? X will just crash again once compiz-fusion is loaded. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Compiz-Fusion & 3D Applications Crash X Using "ATI" Driver On Radeon XPRESS 200 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/151116 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
