I am experiencing the same "Source ID XXX was not found" messages (but
not the "assertion 'commit != NULL' failed") on a small repository
(2 branches, 25 files, 29 commits). When I click on either one of the
branches or on "All commits" on the left pane, I randomly either get:

1. the expected behavior: graph view on top pane and commit view on bottom
   pane, or
2. an empty top pane and a commit view on the bottom pane with a "Loading
diff..." message replacing the actual diff.

Whenever I get behavior 2, the "Source ID XXX was not found" message is
displayed the NEXT time I click on either a branch or "All commits",
irrespective of whether that next click triggers behavior 1 or 2.

The GLib-CRITICAL warnings are only a small annoyance, but the
incomplete display makes the program next to useless.
