Soren, can you please advise which CD exactly you used? i.e which Ubuntu type, i386 or amd64 and which day? We know the problem was not fixed in beta yet, so I am assuming you used one of the daily CD's. Secondly, can you confirm your graphics card is an 855GM? Can you see from your logs which video driver was used?
