Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
On a intel GMA X 3000 (integrated g965 chipset), at 60hz 1440x900 screen is horizontally compressed to the rightmost 80% of the display, leaving the remaining 20% black an off the display limits (ie, it doesn't display on a screeenshot and the mouse is confined to the 80% where the picture is, as if it were the whole screen). This results in a distorted image. It is as though the 1440 horizontal pixels where compressed into approximately 1161 pixels. The resolution is still 1440x900 for the X server, thoug, since taking a screenshot produces a non distorted 1440x900 image. I am using a viewsonic VG1921wm lcd display. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Distorted screen at 60hz, 1440x900: 20% black screen and wrong aspect ratio on intel X3000 (g865) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/150947 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
