Tried to install Ubuntu Gnome 16.04.1 with NVIDIA Driver 367.xx using the GDM display manager yesterday and resulted in black screen at login.
Did the same today with the newly released NVIDIA Driver 370.23 (beta, I think) and everything is actually working fine - no black screens, but the login seemed kinda funky. Although there don't appear to be any technical issues so far, I'm not entirely sure if that NVIDIA Driver build is stable. Not sure if it's just affecting me either, but thought I'd throw that comment in there. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1559576 Title: Ubuntu GNOME boots to black screen when using proprietary Nvidia drivers on a laptop with Optimus To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gdm/+bug/1559576/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
