Uninstalling the packages above didn't help, so I reinstalled the gutsy packages (upgrade).
I saw on http://localhost:631 that cups first did something with 'ghostscript', so I searched for packages in synaptic that matches 'ghostscript'. I deinstalled the packages: gs-esp-x gimp-print pnm2ppa gs-esp foomatic-db- gutenprint ijsgutenprint hpijs ghostscript-x foomatic-db-engine foomatic-db-hpijs libgutenprintui2-1 libijs-0.35 gs-common libgutenprint2 cupsys-driver- gutenprint evince libgs8 ghostscript libgs- esp8 cupsys gsfonts-x11 and I installed the following packages from feisty: gs-esp-x gimp-print pnm2ppa gs-esp foomatic-db- gutenprint ijsgutenprint hpijs foomatic-db- engine foomatic-db-hpijs libgutenprintui2-1 libijs-0.35 gs-common libgutenprint2 cupsys-driver- gutenprint evince gs libgs-esp8 cupsys gsfonts-x11 And now the printer works again, without having to reconfigure the printer. -- job for canon pixma ip3000 disappears https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/150516 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
