xorg = xorg-server 2:1.3.0.0.dfsg-12ubuntu8 I can tell the xserver-xorg-video-neomagic version, if you need this input, I may need aid.
Funny, I believe is also related with this issue. When the ACPI system kicks in, supposedly to save energy, it wont shut the screen off. Instead, it keeps it blank (although still lit) for a while, and finally it starts flashing like a bad acid trip (it used to work up until Feisty). It seems it is trying to shut off but just before it is able to accomplish this, it gets back on... and keep on flashing... Like a LCD lava lamp. If I wake it up before the flashing begins, it gets back to the purple haze... fine, not perfect, but... If it goes to the LSD flashing phase, it comes back even more awkward... hundreds of thin (3 pixels) white and black (purple shade) horizontal stripes... I can "erase" those back to the correct (purple) image if I force a full screen refresh (maximize a window), or slowly move the mouse around so it redraws every space. I tried to turn off any screen savers or battery saver screen shut off but still get the funky results. I'll try to capture the acid flash back ni pictures or videos. -- [gutsy] Wrong color pallet and sync issues after upgrade https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/150779 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
