Had a problem that seems similar. I have a Powershot A610. I downloaded a picture and then tried to delete the picture from the camera. When I did that, the application crashed. I tried to send a bug report with the crash reporting tool that comes up, but it hung up and quit responding. I can attach the crash files if someone can tell me where to find them.
