Public bug reported: Downloaded latest .deb from Opera (amd64), and opened it with software installer. Software installer started out fine, got authentication, then froze. It has 'installing' in the little box near the top under the name of the software 'Opera-stable'. Didn't work on second download either, so doubt it is corruption of download. No messages issued describing why it froze, no time-out happened to rescue the situation, nothing presented to tell anyone where it was when it froze, just frozen box.
