The report here in Launchpad is scoped to a suspend issue for the original reporter and their hardware. So, that's fine people talk about suspend elsewhere in that report, but it's not addressing its scope. That's great you found a patch that addresses your issue. However, for this report, any patch fix results, test results, etc. would need to be tested by the original reporter for it to move forward, because that is who filed it. Unfortunately, you insisting you have the same hardware, and your problem is addressed by a patch doesn't change anything for this report. Simply put, folks who are interested in having their issue solved as quickly as possible, and help out file a report themselves.
