Dear Christopher, I've been out on holiday since the beginning of the month (without the laptop). I came back yesterday, so now I've been able to test the kernel.
Good news: when I turned on the laptop, a huge update was waiting for me, including a new kernel version, 4.4.0-31. I have booted with this version of the kernel, so as to test both suspend and hibernate and... everything was OK! I have successfully suspended seven times the laptop. Hibernation also works OK (tested two times). Therefore, I think that this bug can be closed because kernel version 4.4.0-31 seems to solve it. I apologize for the inconveniences. Thanks a lot for your time and efforts. Let me know if I have to do something else. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1595969 Title: Suspend doesn't work in ACER laptop To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1595969/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
