Not sure it this is releated however I had this issue using SDK (installed few days ago) and I fixed it installing qml-module-ubuntu- performancemetrics package (as networking doesn't work I downloaded it from overlay PPA and used adb push to move it to device, then I installed it using dpkg -i from adb shell), looks like MainView from Ubuntu.Components 1.3 requires it.
